You decided to buy a house. The first question is where to find one. You can search for the house on the Internet, but you need to go out and actually see the houses and choose one. So you are calling to the listing sales representative and making the appointments. You have all the rights to do so, but you are doing the first and most costly mistake in the buying process. Why so? Because you are all alone in the new territory not knowing that the listing sales representative is not representing your interests! He or she cannot give a buyer the same degree of loyalty as an buyer's sales representative, who acts on behalf of a buyer and worcs only for buyer.
Federal Trade Commission study in 2000 revealed that over 72% of all home buyers in North America mistakenly believed that the sales representative who was showing them his listings also represented their best interest. Listing sales representative is representing not the buyer’s, but seller’s best interest. He is trying to get the highest price for the seller, not the lowest price for you as a buyer!
